Dr. Salman Malik, DDS, MD – Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Southern New Hampshire
Dr. Salman Malik is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon proudly serving patients throughout Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. He earned his dental degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and his medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine, and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he developed advanced expertise in complex extractions, dental implants, oral pathology, and anesthesia.
Dr. Malik is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Notably, Dr. Malik is one of the few oral and maxillofacial surgeons in New Hampshire licensed in both dentistry and medicine, offering patients an added level of safety and comprehensive, medically informed care.
Dr. Malik’s approach to patient care is shaped not only by his extensive training, but also by personal experience. During a routine dental examination, he was diagnosed with a tumor that required jaw resection and removal of teeth. Having personally undergone oral surgery, he understands the anxiety, uncertainty, and anticipation patients often feel. This experience allows him to connect with patients on a deeper level and provide care with empathy, honesty, and reassurance. He is always willing to share his story and answer questions to help patients feel informed and at ease.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Malik serves on the faculty at Tufts School of Dental Medicine and New York University School of Dentistry, and participates in international outreach programs. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife and family.
